Cypress is a next generation front end testing tool built for the modern web applications. Cypress runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Cypress app is a free, downloadable and an open-source software released under the MIT License while the Cypress Cloud is a web application that offers a paid plans. Cypress is most often compared to Selenium; however Cypress is both fundamentally and architecturally different. Cypress is not constrained by the same restrictions as Selenium.
