Ted Perlmutter is a Lecture in the M.S. Program in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution and the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University, where he teaches courses on social media and migration.

Several years ago, he had students in his undergraduate course on U.S. Immigration Policy in Global Perspective edit and create articles on immigration. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard University.
