Template:藝人 Jace Chan (Chinese: 陳凱詠), female singer and actress from Hong Kong, she was noticed by the general public by her debut in acting, a 2017 TV series by ViuTV, Margaret and David series: Ex Special Edition (Chinese: 瑪嘉烈與大衛系列：前度（特別篇）). She debuted in the music industry in 2019 and won the New Singer Award on Metro Radio. She also won an award for her song "Quarantine" (Chinese: 隔離).

Short Description

Jace loves to sing and dance since she was small, her hairstyle i was often unique. When she graduated from secondary school, she wanted to make a living from her interest. She graduated in Hong Kong Baptist University, when she was in university, she was filming student films, she also worked as a dance teacher and an anchor for Billboard China. After she graduated from University, she was chosen by Universal Music Hong Kong to be the anchor for their new web magazine, UMWebzine. She interviewed artists on behalf on UMWebzine. She also filmed some videos branded as "JengJace" on her personal YouTube channel. In 2018, she became a stylist in King Maker, a Hong Kong singing contest, helping a stylist, Mayao Ma.

She often participate in music production when she is idle, she often upload her videos of covering different songs while performing with music group Dusty Bottle, Universal Music Hong Kong noticed that and gave her a chance. In 2019, she became one of the "Fabulous Four", becoming the new singer of that year, she won the New Singer Award on Metro Radio that year. She released 3 songs that year, "想突然", a song with R&B style and invited the vocal of LMF and 24Herbs, Phat.[1] Her second song, "想正常" is a rather heavy song and is describing the conflicts in the latter stages in a relationship.[2] Her third song, "講"'s demo was recording in Paris and has a lot of emotions in it.[3]

In 2020, Jace collaborated with composer Alex Fung the first time, they composed the melody of the song "天生二品" with hirsk, a Hong Kong Composer. The groovy melody created a great chemistry with ChungSaid's lyrics. Encouraging the listeners of the song to believe the value of their existence[4]. The song was a success, managed to get to the top of Music Charts of ViuTV, Commercial Radio, Metro Radio and RTHK[5][6]. In that August, she released a love song, Quarantine (Chinese: 隔離), collaboration with Alex Fung again, the song's lyrics was written by YIU SUM and KW Chu, the music video was directed by a former DJ of RTHK, Jerry Wong. Her friends, Z. Koo and Chung Suet Ying was the main actor in the music video and the harmony in the song respectively. Using a ballad style to express the feeling of being "quarantined" by the companion[7]. The song is another success and it was a huge success on music apps. This song topped the charts on iTunes[8], MusicOne[9]KKBOX[10]. This song also became one of the 10 best songs recommended by Metro Radio. A duet version with indie singer, Terence Lam being the boy waiting for his crush[11]. Fans love both versions of the song, the original and duet versions got 151 firsts on digital platforms[12].

In 2021, Jace reuses the crew of the song "天生二品", Terence Lam was also invited to be a co-composer of the song "虛擬人與我", this song is about a relationship online[13]. She released her first album, Processing on May 14 2021, the album reached the golden award sales (15,000 copies sold) on the first day of sale. The songs from the album was listened on MOOV for approximately 2 million times[14]. The album contained all the previous songs and a new song, I Wish. The song wants to express the hope for relieving stress and to do things the audience likes without being restricted. I Wish got a great result on charts. It became the top song on the charts of RTHK, Commercial Radio, TVB and ViuTV. Jace also invited the vocal of bands Chochukmo and R.O.O.T, Jan Curious to record a Poolside Version[15]. July, Jace was chosen by Spotify to be the Hong Kong representative for their EQUAL Global Music Program of July, her portrait was on the screen of New York Times Square[16]. August 20, Jace held her first concert under the sponsorship of American Express, but the way for getting tickets for the concert led to disputes in the music community[17][18].

When asked for her market position, she thinks that is not an easy question to answer. As a student graduated from Communications, the identity as an anchor will be naturally, her main market position, but she knows how play an Electric guitar, sung in shows, also a dance arranger, a model for magazines, and even filmed in TV series of ViuTV. She targets to be a talented artist: "I am still young, if I am willing to get those jobs, then take all the chances to try before the position settles.[19]"
