636 SATA Battery, moto HAR MAIDAN FATEH is a Surveillance and Target Acquisition (SATA) Battery, which is part of the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army.[1]
History
636 SATA Battery was raised on 01 Oct 2014 at Akhnoor with a mixed class composition. Lt Col Gaurav Sethi was the first Commanding Officer & Sub Maj Rajendra Prasad Yadav was the first Subedar Major of the unit. Since raising, the unit has served in varied terrain along the length of the country from the sweltering plains to the icy peaks. The unit has served with distinction & elan. The unit has excelled in all spheres be it Ops, Trg, Adm & Sports in the traditions of the Regt of Arty, There by keeping the 'HAR MAIDAN FATEH' flag flying high.[1]
