Arrowhead trail east of Las Vegas

The original route of the Arrowhead Trail was not along the US 91 alignment east of Las Vegas. It followed a route through Nellis Air Force Base, then along the hills and through the Muddy Hills to merge with Valley of Fire road. It went to St. Thomas which is now partially submerged under Lake Mead. The dirt road of the Trail still leads to the town. It crossed the Muddy and Virgin rivers south of the "Lost City" Anasazi site, then headed northeast along the east side of the Virgin river to Bunkerville and Mesquite. By 1930, the Arrowhead had moved north (passing through Crystal) along a path that eventually became US 91. -- Parsa (talk) 21:56, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
