Expansion Needed

I'm sure someone knows a lot more about the historic Las Vegas Strip hotel. Did it have a casino? What replaced it and when? Maybe an address or at what cross streets. Vegaswikian 02:41, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC) Of course it had a casino. It is the vacant lot across the street from the Sahara.72.192.21.77 23:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added more information and external links. I created casino info boxes for both and added image of second one. Also on the insidervlv.com link in external references it lists the first one as El Ranch Vegas and the second one as El Rancho Casino. Maybe some consideration should be given to making this two articles and have them linked together in case someone arrives at the wrong one. Having one external link section for two different casinos makes it a bit confusing. --BoldSolitude (talk) 23:16, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After some researching the orginal EL Rancho did brand itself as (El Rancho Vegas) while the second as (El Rancho Casino). IF you branch El Rancho Casino off into another article then you can merge it with the thunderbird article then have the thunderbird article redirect to (EL Rancho Casino). I've got some external references bookmarked that I will place inline citations whenever I get back around to it. What does anyone else think about splitting the two? I think it could clear up some confusion. If the second el rancho isn't split then the thunderbird article and this is repetetive. The thnderbird is more detailed but it's not under the name the casino was when it went down for good, that's why I suggested merging it into the El Rancho Casino article if one is created. --BoldSolitude (talk) 05:50, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I added an external link here and moved the portion about the El Rancho Casino to a seperate article and added the redirect here. I also added a redirect in the other article back to this article in case anyone ends up on the wrong article. The casinos were seperate entities operating decades apart with similiar but slightly different names. I added one link that supports this. I will help research, expand and place inline citations on this article when I have time. --BoldSolitude (talk) 18:26, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
