Mohammad Roknipour (Persian: محمد رکنی‌پور, born October 13, 1992) also known as Marcel is an Iranian singer, songwriter and former footballer who has played as a midfielder for Golden State Misioneros in the Premier Development League.[1]

Early life

Roknipour was born to an Iranian father and Brazalian mother on October 13, 1992 in Tehran, Iran and grew up in Costa Rica.[2]

Career

Football

Roknipour signed his first professional contract with Los Angeles Blues at the tail end of their final season in the USL Pro in 2013. He later continued with the club with their move to Orange County and their re-branding to Orange County Blues in 2014.[3][4]

Prior to that, Roknipour played in the USL Premier Development League for OC Blues Strikers.[5]

Music

Marcel started his musical career in 2017 and released his debut independent single "Rhumba". In 2018, he participated in Mucho Talento an American reality competition show. His another single "Shot" was released in April 2019.[2][6][7]
