Genre called Dance-soul is not existing... I know, ofc guy originally wrote the genre like that must've wanted to explain "this is an soul music with dance elements" but most of this era's soul/motown sound was dance music itself. In this era, 1967, psychedelic and rock music was highly mainstream, and there was motown sound and soul/R&B, early form of Funk (James Brown). But ppl just danced on that. "Expressway to Your Heart" is a song written by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff and performed by the Soul Survivors. It appeared on their 1967 album, When the Whistle Blows Anything Goes,[1] which was produced by Gamble and Huff.[2]

The song reached #3 on the R&B chart and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967,[3] and was ranked #18 on Billboard magazine's Top Hot 100 songs of 1967.[4]
