Hi! I'm quite new to wikipedia but I've tried before to write 2 biographies of two kpop idols, unfortunetly both were rejected, not because they were bad written but because the members didn't deserve their own page. Well, I'm here to ask you guys if you think Miyeon, Shuhua and Soojin deserve their own wikipedia page, it's ok if not I simply want to know because I don't want to spend hours doing something that later will be rejected.

Creating new section

Hello everyone. I am thinking of moving this paragraph:

On June 8, they made a debut in the rankings by topping the list for June. The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups using big data collected from May 7 to June 8. In their first-ever appearance on the list, the group shot to first place with a brand reputation index of 10,038,719. High-ranking phrases in (G)I-DLE’s keyword analysis included “LATATA” (the group’s debut title track), “The Show,” and “debut,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “hot,” “pretty,” and “exciting.” The group’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 63.55 percent positive reactions.

from "History" section into a new one, for example a new section called "Impact", while having a summarised version of the paragraph in the former. I think it is better this way as it will look more organised and also shows the group's influence. What do you guys think? Heolkpop (talk) 07:13, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the awards section

In the award section Idle are listed as having won the "Korea First Brand Awards" in the "Female Rookie Idol of the Year" category. This is incorrect. They won the award in this category at the "Brand of the Year Awards" for 2018 (reference: https://www.soompi.com/article/1205129wpp/momoland-gi-dle-boyz-win-2018-brand-year-awards ).

The "Korea First Brand Awards" for 2019 in the category "New Female Artist" was won by LOONA not Idle (reference: https://www.soompi.com/article/1280441wpp/winners-2019-korea-first-brand-awards ). It is however unclear to me whether or not Idle was nominated for this award. I found no article or source on it. The "Korea First Brand Awards" for the year 2018 was given out 6 months before Idle debuted, so they couldn't have won the award at that occassion either.

Also Idle (if my counting isn't off and the according Wikipedia articles are correct) now holds the record for the most Rookie of the Year awards won by a Female Group. They hold 7 to their name, while the previous record holder Blackpink (would have to be verified if no one else has more) has 6. (I only counted Korean Awards that qualify as ROTY, so "Best of Next" clearly doesn't qualify).

I tried to implement those changes on my own, but am a bit in over my head with the whole styling of the tables and so on. So I decided to just open a topic and let experienced users do the job. 91.58.139.197 (talk) 22:14, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately according to Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Reliable sources Soompi is considered unreliable for use as a source. Would you perhaps be able to find a source listed under "Considered reliable" for use instead of Soompi? I think Soompi actually list on the bottom of the page where they get their stories from, maybe this will help you as well. For any changes to the page that you need help with it would be helpful if you post them like: "Change X ---> Y"or "Change X to Y" so it will be easier for me or someone else to help. Thanks, Redalert2fan (talk) 23:00, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone who speaks Korean check if [1] actually says that (G)I-dle won the Female Rookie Idol of the Year at the Korea First Brand Awards? If not this is source is not usable and the section should probably be removed. Redalert2fan (talk) 23:03, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The award is correct, for the Brand of the Year awards, not for the Korea First Brand Awards. In the first paragraph, it states that they performed at the 2018 Brand of the Year awards, and in the final paragraph of the article it says that they performed, and in brackets after their name it says (new girl artist of the year), according to google translate. I have changed the name of the awards ceremony in the table, going purely by the source provided I believe it needs no further discussion. Alexanderlee (talk) 01:44, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
