Oren Rosenfeld is an Israeli documentary filmmaker, photojournalist, and film producer. His work was instrumental in photo documenting the Second Intifada.[1]
Career
Since 1999, he has worked as a photojournalist covering major events in Israel and the larger region.
In 2010, he founded Holy Land Productions which has grown to be a major documentary production company in the region. Projects for National Geographic, the BBC, and the History Channel. Holy Land productions also serves Middle East and Africa.
In October 2016, he directed, produced and co wrote Israel's Arab Warriors for the BBC.[2] In the film, he and cowriter Jane Corbin followed the first unit of Israeli Arab soldiers to serve in the Israeli occupied West Bank.
Oren Rosenfeld has recently completed directing and producing Hummus the Movie and also projects for VICE News, National Geographic, and the BBC. And Directing and filming a new Documentary in Mumbai,India "Mumbai Jews". Oren recently returned from filming in Ethiopia for the new Documentary "Mekonen".
Hummus The Movie stirred controversy when the Guinness Book of World records refused to send representatives to judge the world's largest plate of Hummus due to alleged security concerns.[3]
In 2017 Rosenfeld joined Jane Corbin to write and produce The Real Fauda, a BBC Documentary about he real story behind the hit Israeli Drama Fauda.
