John Brady (September 9, 1803 - January 14, 1884) was a Republican politician and the 1st mayor of Muncie, Indiana. He is buried in Beech Grove Cemetery. He was also a resident of Richmond, Indiana from 1824 to 1836.

He also was Associate Judge of Delaware Circuit Court, Muncie postmaster, Muncie City Council, Center Township trustee. [1]

He is the grandfather of Muncie mayor, Arthur W. Brady and father of Thomas J. Brady.
