Ana Sokolovic (Serbian Cyrillic: Ана Соколовић; Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia, 1968)[1] is a Montreal-based composer of Serbian origin whose contemporary pieces have won several awards in Canada. Her music has been performed at London’s Royal Opera House and Montreal’s Conservatory of Music. A recent commission makes Sokolovic the first woman composer to create an operatic work for the Canadian Opera Company.[2][3][4][5]
