Hello Smmmaniruzzaman. I'm sure it was unintentional, but in changing a previous comment to a "delete", you've inadvertently added two "deletes" from a single editor to the AFD. Could you please correct this? Thanks, [[User:Wikishovel|Wikishovel]] ([[User talk:Wikishovel|talk]])

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Niaz Zaman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Holy Cross College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:Abu Ishaque photograph.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Abu Ishaque photograph.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you for creating the article! I found the article in the category of articles needing copyedit, so took a try at it. I see you have created a lot of articles related to Bengali literature and culture. Thanks a lot for that.--Dwaipayan (talk) 22:46, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Thomas Pynchon photograph.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Thomas Pynchon photograph.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:18, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. WP Poetry and The Canterbury Tales task force

As someone who is listed as a participant for WikiProject Poetry, I hope you will be interested to learn of an attempt to revive the WP and alongside this the creation of task force to improve coverage of The Canterbury Tales. We are currently looking for participants to help set up the basics. Please get involved if you can, and we can hopefully revive this important project within Wikipedia! Many thanks, MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 00:13, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

image substitution -- [1]

Hi! I am a new user, so please bear with any ignorance I may display in regards to the updating of wiki pages.

Re: the image used for Key Redfield Jamison's book Touched With Fire [2]

The quality of the photo used isn't of the highest caliber. Using Google Images, I found these other two images which are far superior:

Touched-With-Fire-1

Touched-With-Fire-2

I realize that there are possible copyright issues when employing images for Wikipedia. Are both of these images applicable to the page for Ms.Jamison's book, or are they off-limits? If so, what are some indicators that they are copyrighted, and therefore unusable?

Thanks for your time & attention to this,

HeyHead!HeyHead! (talk) 22:52, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Fakir Lalon Shah.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

Today's motto...

It's wikipedia.org, not wikipedia.com.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
