Karolina Wydra (born 5 March 1981) is a Polish-American actress and model. She is best known for playing Dominika Petrova in the American medical drama series House. She appeared in the sixth and seventh seasons of True Blood as the vampire Violet Mazurski.[1]
Life and career
Wydra was born in Opole, Poland.[2] In 2003, Wydra appeared on the magazine covers of Vellum and the German edition of Elle Magazine. In 2005, she appeared on the front cover of Oyster Magazine.[3] In 2007, Wydra appeared in a Nespresso commercial with George Clooney.[4]
From 2011 to 2012, she played the role of Dominika Petrova in House.[5] In 2013, she joined the cast of HBO's fantasy drama series True Blood as Violet Mazurski, a vampire who becomes Jason Stackhouse's girlfriend.[6][7] In 2015, she was cast in ABC's crime drama pilot L.A. Crime as undercover detective Dianne Gibbons.[8]
