Samae-San Island (Koh Samae-San) is a small island in an eponymous sub-district of the Chonburi Province of Thailand. Tourist attractions on the island include fishing, swimming, diving, bicycle riding and hiking.

Preservation area

Samae-San Island is a Royal Project of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn that preserves the plants and animals of the sea and island. It is home to many kinds of fish, including bluespotted stingrays, moray eels, fusilier fish, angel fish[disambiguation needed] and lionfish.

Geography

Four small islands surround Samae-San Island: Chuang Island, Chan Island, Shark Fin Rock and Rong Khon Island. Chuang Island (Koh Chuang). Chuang Island has a small bay at its southern end.
