Pablo Larraín Matte (luh-ruh-EEN; born 19 August 1976 in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean filmmaker. He has directed three feature films and co-directed one television series.[1] His film No was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival[2][3] where it won the Art Cinema Award.[4] The film was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 85th Academy Awards.[5]
Larraín is the son of former Minister of Housing & Urbanism Magdalena Matte and Independent Democrat Union senator Hernán Larraín.
