Not only do these students excel in studies but they are also very talented. The school has it's own singing group with students from all standards. At the end of the year the annual gathering takes place. Many of the students get to show their talent at this time. In this function there are Dramas, Dances, Singing, Compering, and solo performances. The students enjoy watching and being in these performances.

Madhavrao Bhawat High School (MBHS) is a co-educational school located in Vile Parle, a suburb of Mumbai, India. The Principal of the Secondary high school is Mrs Lele and the Vice-principal is Mrs Shukla.

History

Since its founding in 1952 by Mangala M Bhagwat, MBHS has been run by Vile Parle Mahila Sangh. The secondary high school is named after the businessman and social worker Shri Madhavrao Bhagwat.

MBHS has a library, a gym, a primary school and a pre-primary school for toddlers called Shishuvihar. Most of the students are the residents of Vile Parle though there are students who come from other suburbs like Andheri and Jogeshwari The school has a three storied building.

Houses

The students are divided among four houses - Yellow, Red, Blue and Green. There are inter house competitions in which the students from all houses participate. The students who win the competitions win points for their house. Every house has a captain and vice captain. At the end of the academic year the house with highest points wins a trophy.

Academics

The school has maintained its record of 100% result in SSC Annual Board Exams for 26 years [except for 1993 with 99% result). From 1981-2009 only three students have failed the S.S.C Exams.

In 2008 MBHS went onto MBHS and Jr. College (Science stream).
