I think you're flagging articles with legitimate concerns. This is a positive contribution to Wikipedia. Thanks, and great work! JFHJr (㊟) 19:57, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Cite Web

Articles should include [cite web] with double braces on both sides markup on references. While it's perfectly acceptable to write references with plain text, templates have advantages. For one, they automatically help sort information. They also auto-format and punctuate cites.

Sports

Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory/Culture/Sports - that's a list of all the sports and even with WikiProjects.

Licencing

 • Option One is Wikipedia:Contact us/Permit, which says have the rights owner (whoever that is) to e-mail [email protected]. The e-mail should contain all of the following: 1) an e-mail domain name from the rights holder (not yahoo.au or gmail.com, but perhaps xyzphotography.net or iclothing.com); 2) statement of who is the rights holder; 3) a link to the image (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:iClothing.jpg); and 4) statement of license under one of the options at the link. I recommend Creative Commons Attribution Share-Share Alike 3.0. It is the most free.
 • Option Two is to ask the rights holder (whoever it is) to register an account here and re-upload the image, filling out the proper licensing permissions (communicate with Commons, and you don't have to handle it personally.)

AfD nomination help

Codes for Step 2
cat=M Media and music
cat=O Organisation, corporation, or product
cat=B Biographical
cat=S Society topics
cat=W Web or internet
cat=G Games or sports
cat=T Science and technopy
cat=F Fiction and the arts
cat=P Places and transportation
cat=I Indiscernible or unclassifiable topic
cat=? Nominator unsure of category

there are three steps to nominating an article. If you don't complete all three, its discussion and listing won't appear. I went ahead and completed those nominations, but I thought you might find it helpful to have all the steps here for the future.

 1. Tag the article; you've got this one.
 2. After you tag the article, look at the new template and click on link to "this article's entry." On that page, add: ~~~~ ...I put a table of the categories to the right.
 3. Next, go to the articles for deletion log page. Once you're there, add . In the edit summary, write: Adding Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ArticleName.

If you want to keep track of the AfD discussion, you can add the page in Step 2 to your watchlist.

A little more on AfDs

Base arguments on independent search results. Sometimes inappropriately cited material is removed, but the same cites can support different claims.

In all cases, the information in the article has to be notable, even when it is cited by a good reference that isn't disqualified by something like self-published sources or someone with a conflict of interest. People and things don't inherit notability, and encyclopedias don't report the news. I'm not at all an AfD expert, but I think if you base your AfD !votes on specific policies and, if necessary, in regards to certain sources, it might be more meaningful to the reviewing admin. Cheers! JFHJr () 06:03, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

 • Do not cite self-published sources
 • self-published sources - not references, they are self-published sources not fit for wikipedia
 • Inheriting notability means trying to claim you're notable because you have a weak (or even strong) relation to someone or something that is notable, without ever having done something notabale yourself.
 • But if several newspapers/sources did a non-trivial article with mentions in detail "John who designed part of Win 8", "Eric who designed the new iPhone", "Bob who is the architect behind a new building", then they start to become notable for their work and pass the notability requirement.

Reichman...

Somebody (with 1 edit on Davina Reichman and that was all!) rolled back the article on Davina Reichman - surely that is not allowed? 15:40, 5 October 2011 (diff | hist) Davina Reichman ‎ (Undid revision 454083659 by Dream Focus (talk)) User 207.239.108.182 had not made any contributions to wikipedia except rolling back Davina Reichman's article for deletion.

Given how much discussion has taken place regarding the article, on AfD and various adminboards, usertalk and other pages, there was no cause for them to revert Dream Focus' removal without so much as an edit summary or post in the talk page to reason why. Have reverted the action. Ma®©usBritish [Chat • RFF] 17:10, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
He's probably a hardcore deletionist who has no respect for consensus, or that no-consensus is an opportunity for articles to be improved, hence why he wants to keep pushing for a decision and driving a stake into authors efforts. Some people just don't know when to quit in advocating their own form of "contribution", thinking they're a law unto themselves, and those are the people who give wiki a bad name. You don't report unless you have enough evidence. You can, however use: username if necessary to flag an account. Ma®©usBritish [Chat • RFF] 20:20, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lyst

This is a reliable source http://alltopstartups.com/2011/08/03/lyst-lets-you-follow-your-favorite-fashion-designers/

 • Use square brackets when referencing

77-pieces

There is a company called "77-pieces" [1] which is a technology and fashion company which shows you "how garments will fit photo-realistically without needing to try them on." I'll do a bit more research and write about that instead. Thank you. Domenico.y (talk) 22:35, 27 October 2011 (UTC) Domenico.y[reply]

Racconish and citing sources

Racconish,

 1. Fashionsource, "iClothing merges technology and fashion", "The idea, to develop garments that have 'invisible' pockets that are designed to store an iPad, was the brainchild of managing director Davina Reichman, [http://www.fashionsource.com.au/news/viewarticle.asp?articleID=18830
 1. The Drum, a UK news site, http://www.thedrum.co.uk/news/2010/05/27/davina-reichman-launches-ipad-clothing-range states "Australian fashion designer Davina Reichman has taken inspiration from her Kangaroo compatriots to design...accessories for the die hard iPad aficionado"
 1. http://www.beingbornagain.net/buttons/About_Being_Born_Again_Couture.html “Davina Reichman (Founder & Managing Director) Being Born Again Couture “
 1. The Australian Financial Review (AFR) "What's on in Sydney", Friday April 16, 2010, correctly states "Organiser and Managing

Director Davina Reichman says she approached a number of fashion designers".

Your first 3 sources are self published. The precision "organiser" in the 4th is problematic, as it reduces the role of Reichman's partner, as specified by other sources.Racconish Tk 22:45, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove legitimate sources.

It is you who is vandalizing iClothing with incorrect sources. Calm down and take it to the talk page please. Domenico.y (talk) 22:37, 7 November 2011 (UTC) Domenico.y[reply]

Please present your views at the talk page: which sources do you consider incorrect and why? Thank you, Racconish Tk 22:41, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did already before you wrote that. Domenico.y (talk) 22:44, 7 November 2011 (UTC) Domenico.y[reply]
