*Reply: There is already an article on [[Dhatri]], which I think is the same as Dhūti. Please consider expanding it that article and addimg references to it. A number of 19th-century sources listed at http://www.lexic.us/definition-of/dhuti use dhuti as an alternative spelling for dhoti, although the spelling dhoti is more common today. I have replaced the redirect at [[Dhuti]] with a disambiguation page with three separate meanings for Dhuti. Your view sought on an article for deletion
I created a page about a once famous children's author who will be fondly remembered by those now in their late 20s/early 30s. It has been recommended for deletion by someone who seems very keen on quick editing.
I would welcome your view.
The page is Brian Paterson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomintoul (talk • contribs) 08:51, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Hey! Thanks!! I didn't have any eye-of-newt or bat's blood, and didn't know the correct incantations.
However, it seems that you do. But not only that, you actually got off of your bottom and used them!
Serious "thank you"s, and thank you for the example of how to deal with this sort of situation in the future. If you in intend standing for public office, you've won my vote. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:47, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Minnesota Math and Science Academy
Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. gz33 (talk) 09:11, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- The article was vandalized by another editor. In such a case, it is better to restore the last non-vandalized version than to seek the deletion of the vandalized version. I see that another editor has declined the speedy nomination. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 16:14, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
The article Tri-Creek School Corporation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article does not meet the notability guidelines for companies and organizations.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bigvernie (talk) 19:07, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Jaipur Bus
Jaipur Bus, or the article it was a redirect to, was deleted because it was created by a sockpuppet. I didn't see the article before it was deleted, but I suspect that the topic is notable on the basis of coverage in reliable sources such as http://www.indianexpress.com/news/yearaftergreensignal-jaipursbusprojec/211963/ and http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/jaipur/Tech-upgrade-for-city-bus-services/articleshow/5814091.cms Eastmain (talk • contribs) 20:53, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- G'day Eastmain - Jaipur Bus was deleted as a broken redirect. The original was Jaipur Bus (Jaipur BRTS), which as you say was deleted as it was created by a sockpuppet. The sockmaster was blocked for repeat cut-aste copyright violations so the deleted article (which is only one paragraph) is unsafe. It probably is a notable topic but it'll have to be recreated from scratch. --Mkativerata (talk) 21:01, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Eastmain! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Taylor Anderson. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - I was not the creator of the article. I added a reference to the article in question when I removed the speedy tag. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 23:59, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Please take a look at my comments over there and weigh in on them. The article got deleted as G11 after all, but the deleting admin left the talkpage in place. It's not as unsalvageable as I had thought, but it still needs work, and I generally don't touch medical articles with a 39 1/2 foot long pole, if you know what I mean. I dropped a note on the creator's page, hopefully this person wasn't driven away by it. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 20:03, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Hello. A group of us are trying to clear up the backlog at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Articles_lacking_sources_from_October_2006. The article by the above title is lacking reliable sources. Can you help out? Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 07:02, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Re: Speedy deletion of Willkommen Folk Tell Drekka Fest, prod deletion of Trollfest
Re your message: I restored Trollfest as a contested PROD, restored Willkommen Folk Tell Drekka Fest and Brakebein since CSD#A9 no longer applies, and removed the CSD tag of Category:Trollfest albums and File:Willkommen Folk Tell Drekka Fest cover.jpg for similar reasons. The two labels mentioned in the article may be notable as they are referenced in other articles. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:57, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Dhūti to Dhoti page re-direct
Hello,
Happened to see that a re-direct for Dhūti to Dhoti was done by you here [2]. Dhūti is the name of one of the gods mentioned in the ancient Hindu Sanskrit scriptures. Dhoti is the word for traditional lower undergarment worn by a male in Hindi. So please revert the re-direct. I can help you create a page for Dhūti, will need some research beforehand.
Waiting to hear from you,
Warm regards,
Kiran — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hangakiran (talk • contribs) 17:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
