Alfred "Alf" James Higgs (1904 – after 1931) was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s who at representative level played for Wales, and at club level for Oldham, and Halifax.[1]

Birth

Alf Higgs was born in early 1904 in Pontypool district, Wales.

International honours

Alf Higgs won a cap for Wales while at Oldham in 1928.[2]

Challenge Cup final appearances

Alf Higgs played in Halifax's 22-8 victory over York in the 1930–31 Challenge Cup at Wembley Stadium on 2 May 1931.

Death

Alf Higgs died in Newport.
