I enjoy editing Wikipedia, especially adding sources to the unsourced articles and cleaning up. Also, I update articles on current events. Check out my contributions for more.

I've been using Wikipedia since late 2004, when I was doing research on Thomas Heyward Jr., a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence for my American history project at school. Since then, I've been exploring Wikipedia frequently, discovering the infinite mass of information that's available on it. When I noticed that it could be edited, I immediately began editing. That's why many articles look "cleaner" nowadays than in the past...in addition, I've been learning Wikipedia code as I went along.

Yes, I know how unreliable Wikipedia can be and certain libel incidents (e.g.: Siegenthaler, Essjay), so I'd rather not use the site for serious research, but I'd rather improve this rather than sit back and be lazy.

Normally, I edited articles through whatever IP address it was from the computer I was editing from. However, around late 2006/early 2007, I noticed that more articles were getting "semi protected", meaning that I needed an account just to edit them. Since most "semi-protected" articles were articles that had lots of editorial oversight and cited lots of sources, including George W. Bush or creation-evolution controversy, I opted not to get an account. However, as I began discovering some "semi-protected" articles that lacked good structure or sources, I got an account, and since then have used my privileges of editing protected pages in good accounts. In addition, I have so far created two articles on notable subjects related to the politics of television broadcasting. I have enjoyed reading and editing Wikipedia over the years and would like to see it flourish as a groundbreaking, open-source encyclopedia.

On July 28, 2008, I joined Conservapedia as "Alpnineone" so I could update them about what's happening here at Wikipedia. So far I've tried correcting their infamous "Examples of Bias in Wikipedia" page and so far things have gone well, but I've learned that if something's been corrected from "1!b3r41 b145" here I should just note so on that page rather than delete, otherwise an administrator will revert as being "liberal censorship" or whatever. I'll make sure to avoid personal attacks or anything bordering "conflict of interest" in the times I'm there. See my contributions, and warn me if I'm breaking 90/10. But I still prefer Wikipedia and trying directly to combat whatever errors, bias, poor quality, etc. rather than just letting problems rot.

I am viRUS I am viRUS On July 28, 2008, I joined Conservapedia as "Alpnineone" so I could update them about what's happening here at Wikipedia.
