Temptation is a 2004 Movie Musical written by Sydney Forest and John Taylor, directed by Mark Tarlov. The film contained an all-star Broadway cast featuring several Tony Award winning actors as well as many other leading men and women from the Broadway stage; several of which have been Tony-nominees. Film actress Zoe Saldana also stars in the film. Although there were several screenings, there has not yet been a theatrical or video release. There was once an official website located at http://www.temptationthemovie.com, which featured production photos and media clips, but it is no longer active.

Plot & Production

The story tells the tale of Faust, making a deal with the devil, in a Rock Musical form. There is little spoken dialogue in the film as the majority of the show is sung. Which uses characteristics of operatic recitative, only being sung in Rock form, similar to musicals such as Rent and Bare. The vocals were recorded live on the set during filming, much like in the independent musical film Open House, rather than the lip syching process done in most Movie Musicals. [1]
