Costumes

Legendary designer Bob Mackie created seventeen unique ensembles for Cher at the Colosseum.

File:Don'y lòeave me.JPEG
Sketches for "Don't leave me this way".
  • For "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and Song for the Lonely Cher wears a gold-feathered cape (resembling a bird) and a headdress/crown with an asp. In the back her hair looks like gold dreadlocks, but is actually gold beaded chains. The cape and front hanging piece between the legs are removed to reveal a much skimpier gold sequined outfit.
  • For her Laverne monologue Cher wears a leopard-skinned dress/jump suit and coat with purple, green, and pink horizontal stripes. She has her typical Laverne red curly wig, tacky jewellery, and purple pointed glasses.
  • For All or Nothing and I Found Someone she wears a sultan themed outfit. It has long gold tassels that hang from the arms and mid-section. Her hair is a large, curly red wig and a forehead crown.
  • For Love Is a Battlefield she wears a horned headdress with thigh length boots, cape, and leather gloves.
  • For Half-Breed Cher wears a Native American headdress over her trade mark long straight black hair with loin cloth and jewels.
  • For Don't Leave Me This Way she wears a teal feathered coat with hat wrapping all over her body with lights flashing on it.
  • For The Way of Love and Love Hurts she wears a midnight blue dress with sequined floral design all along her right side along with a flower themed headdress.
  • For After All she wears an Ice Queen light purple/blue fur coat with sequined designs all along the sides and pointed hat.
  • For The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss), Cher wears a mini black dress with flared open sleeves, pointed shoulder pads, and pink and greens floral jewelled designs. She wears a pink wig, bangs in front and curly pig-tails on the side.
  • For Strong Enough and If I Could Turn Back Time she wears her classic ripped leather and fishnet black body suit with thong, knee high leather boots and leather jacket; a costume very similar to that in the music video for If I Could Turn Back Time. She wears her classic giant frizzy and curly black wig.
  • For Believe Cher has two Believe outfits. The first outfit she wore for her first leg of concerts in May. She wears a silver-and-white costume with feathers and jewels, resembling a goddess. The costume has wings that hang down from both arms and a platinum blond/white wig with bangs in the front. The wig bumps up on top of her head and is long in the back with a goddess crown. The wig came down on her neck/throat and covered it almost like a helmet. Her second outfit was debuted her first night back for her second leg of concerts. It is a newer revamped version of the first leg's Believe outfit. Bob Mackie was quoted as saying, "Cher told me that she wanted to be more naked...It's not vulgar, but it's quite shocking. It's like we dipped her in glue and rolled her in diamonds. Not enough of them to cover up the girl." She has what looks to be a cape of tassels and sequins. Her torso is covered with flesh colored material that is covered with bubble shapes made of diamonds and sequins. She has a new headdress that resembles the headdress/crown she wears for the opening outfit when she sings "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Instead of being gold it is silver and it does not have the Egyptian asp. In the back, her hair looks like dread-locks but they are silver beaded chains.
