Skudenes is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway.

The parish of Skudesnæs was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). In 1849 a part of it was separated to form Bukken formannskapsdistrikt. On February 1 1858 the town Skudeneshavn was separated from Skudenes, constituting a municipality of its own, and on January 1 1892 the same thing happened to Åkra.

On January 1 1965 Skudenes was merged with Avaldsnes, Kopervik, Skudeneshavn, Stangaland, Torvastad and Åkra to form the new municipality Karmøy.
