Fusio is a village and former municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland.
It was first recorded in year 1258 as Fuxio.
The municipality also contained the village Mogno. It had 257 inhabitants in 1799, which declined to 236 in 1850 and 133 in 1900. Via 136 in 1950 it again sank, to 37 in 1990 and 45 in 2000.
In 2004 the municipality was merged with the other, neighboring municipalities Broglio, Brontallo, Menzonio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico to form a new and larger municipality Lavizzara.
