The Summit is a highrise apartment tower designed by Joseph Eichler, located at the top of the upscale Russian Hill in San Francisco, California at 999 Green Steet. The tower is 96 m (315 feet) tall and has 32 floors of residential apartments. The tower, completed in 1965, has some of San Francisco's most expensive and scenic apartments. This residential tower is featured in Sean Wilsey's book "Oh the Glory of It All." Residents of this tower include former Secretary of State George Shultz and his wife, San Francisco's chief of protocol,Charlotte Mailliard Shultz. The couple hosted British Prime Minister Tony Blair at their home when Blair came to California in July, 2006.
