== Peter Holden ==

I came across [[Peter Holden]] while playing a slight variant of the Wiki-Link game (described [[Wikipedia:Wiki-Link Game|here]] if you're curious). I noticed two things:

#The article sucks in the reference, particularly since it's about someone who I presume is alive. (Google does bring up an obit for an actor named "Peter Holden," but I think that's someone else)
#The official website linked within it is probably someone else. (I think the original website was deleted, but I'm not entirely sure)
#You removed puffery in it in 2011, and said you were looking for notability. Since notability is based on reliable sourcing, where's the notability?

:Huh. This was an oldie. Looking at the date, I edited this when I was working the night shift at a hospital. Things would occasionally get very slow, so I'd edit Wikipedia to pass the time. However because it was a hospital, I could never guarantee when I would get pulled away by my work duties. As a result, I have to assume that I edited this with the intent to return and source the article, but got pulled away and then simply forgot about it. The editing does give off the impression that this would be the case, as I removed some slightly puffy prose and threw up a filmography, which was generally pretty quick and easy to do. This would likely also explain the website, assuming that this was the same one as back then. I likely just never had the chance to check the site.
:As far as notability goes, it looks like he's kind of borderline. A very, very quick search brought up little but that's partially because his name is so common. A more specific dive using movie titles brings up some sourcing. I'm adding some of them to the article - I've been adding them as long as they mention him in the body of the review and not just in the cast list. It looks like while he's not the main role, he's been a major supporting role in some of his more notable movies. Some of those films look like they could use articles of their own - I probably saw this as a larger project where I would create articles for the notable films (using his page as a repository of sorts for the reviews). That was something I absolutely did a lot back then. Kind of miss it, since my current job keeps me busy enough that I don't really get on as much as I want to. Whenever I get a chance to take a vacation I will have to devote a day to Wikipedia-ing. This would likely be a good candidate for that since it would require some diving and potential creation of articles (or at least linking to existing ones that may not have existed back then and possibly the improvement of said articles as needed). Hi, I remember you commented on this article's AfD entry. It had been undeleted and draftified per my request, and I found one more book review on Fantasyliterature.com. Feel free to update the draft if you happen to find any more sources :) HPfan4 (talk) 16:10, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Tax Heaven 3000

On 13 August 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tax Heaven 3000, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an art collective released a dating simulator dedicated to preparing the player's income taxes? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tax Heaven 3000. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Tax Heaven 3000), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
