== AfD question ==

Curious, as I may have some old CORPs to bring to AfD as I work through old COI templates, is it better to always drop a quick source summary highlighting each as part of the nomination, as a new comment, or wait to see where the AfD is going? I usually go for brief statement, but seeing how long it took to get someone to respond, wondering if I need a better appoach. AFDs

Hello, HighKing,

While I don't agree with your source assessments 100% of the time (but usually I do!), I greatly appreciate you going over the notability criteria for businesses and organizations time and time again. I've learned a lot from reading your comments and I'm sure that other editors have as well. Thank you for your patience in explaining the same policy information over and over in each AFD as well as taking the time in a discussion to do your own research into the sources, both those included in the article as well as those brought up during a discussion. It makes a huge difference when assessing a deletion discussion to have editors actually do some research into notability rather than just offering a casual opinion. Thank you for your regular, thoughtful participation in the AFD area. Liz Read! Talk! 21:36, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for taking the time to write those kind words. I'm still learning too and I've also made mistakes in the past. We can only try to do better next time. I also appreciate your thoughful closes at AfD, a job that is often thankless. HighKing++ 12:42, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
