Establishment of The Wikimedia Hong Kong

WPMilHist East Asian Task Force

Hello. I am proposing to begin an "East Asian task force" sub-section of the Military History WikiProject, or perhaps task forces dedicated solely to Korean or Japanese military history, if there is enough support. I have noticed (and appreciated) your work on articles relating to samurai history, and other elements of Far East culture and history. I invite you to lend your comments and/or support. The proposal is linked here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history#Far East Task Force Proposal. Thank you. LordAmeth 15:17, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

which part is the "damage?" show me the examples. otherwise, stop reverting. --SummerThunder 20:12, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

why do you suggest to block it about the "blocking" itself? then revert everything? are you imposing self sencorship, too?--SummerThunder 20:18, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to the Siege of Osaka. It's certainly a page which could use some expansion. Can you please cite your sources, though? You seem like a trustworthy contributor, but if you weren't, I would not have any idea whether or not to trust such things as number changes (on the strength of the armies). Thank you. Re: Siege of Osaka

Sure I will help translate it for you, but the main problem is that I don't know those individuals' names in English. I read through the passage in chinese and realize that if you translate those names into English, you're almost finish with the whole translation. OhanaUnitedTalk page 12:19, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There're still too many names that needs to be translated. I think you're better fit for translation because Japan history is not really my department. My department would be science and environment. Those articles will be the easiest for me to translate. OhanaUnitedTalk page 13:17, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was a bit busy lately helping Biography Summer Assessment drive and starting a completely new task force for environmental record along with adding info and pictures to dragon boat. I'll sort the article that needs translating asap. OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:31, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have done translation, but I don't think I did a great job because I don't know much about the history of Japan at that time and I missed out some translation. Please check and fix any errors that I made. On a sidenote, please help me support in overturning the deletion of a template that you're very familar of in chinese wikipedia but encounter diffculities implementing in english wikipedia. Check out Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 June 24#Template:Good article. OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:13, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Venue suggestion needed for a meet-up in Yuen Long

Hong Kong Meetup

I'm sorry to tell you that I couldn't come. This is because I'm back to Canada after summer and starting my 2nd year in university. From the current situation, it seems like I won't come back to Hong Kong for vacation for next 3 summers. With warm regards, OhanaUnitedTalk page 02:44, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redwatch

Please stop adding names to my Redwatch subpages. They are my personal watchlists to assist with the maintenance of articles I have created. Only I can set the limits and decide what is and isn't included. By adding names without my permission you are providing me with unwanted extra work. Please respect this. Celebrations for 2nd Anniversary of Wikimedia Hong Kong

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Information icon Hello, I'm Philip Cross. I noticed that you recently removed content from MintPress News without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Philip Cross (talk) 10:31, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page MintPress News has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. In your first edit, you described your removal of legitimate content as "delete vandalism". Philip Cross (talk) 10:35, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Mike Pompeo, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you.
