The story begins with two Moblins breaking into the castle. In the mean time, two Goriyas are doing the same thing, all after the Triforce. The Moblins break through the door to the Triforce and the Goriyas swing through the window but they all crash into each other. Link notices this, but before he can even get up a Moblin slips, causing a chain reaction of the enemies all zapping themselves. Link yawns and says, "Boy, I'm good".
Meanwhile, back in Ganon's lair the Moblins are trying to blame the Goriyas for why they failed but they start to fight, so Ganon electrifies them to "Shock some sense into them." In doing so, it causes the Moblins and Goriyas to think for themselves, so they decide to revolt against Ganon. Ganon (unaware of this) has just completed a new Capture staff (Better then the one in "The Missing Link") and decides he needs to test it. He warps to his evil jar and tests it on one of his Moblins, after revealing that the bubble is indestructible to all things except the Triforce of Power (Which he shows by popping the bubble). The Moblin zaps Ganon with his own staff and throws him into the bottom-less pit. Upon doing so, they open the evil jar and accidentally drop the capture staff, breaking it. Ganon's minions now form the group called "The United Brotherhood of Underworld Monsters" and decide to take revenge on Link and Zelda.
Meanwhile, Link is trying to explain what happened earlier today with the Moblins and Goriyas, but a rock flies through the window with a note that says, "Dear Zelda, Surrender or be destroyed. Signed, The United Brotherhood of Underworld Monsters." They look outside to see Ganon's men surrounding the castle. Unaware of the revolt that has been committed, Link and Zelda wonder where Ganon is. Ganon, who is still falling, realizes now that while his magic can't get through the bubble, it does work in the bubble. He makes a balloon to float him back to the top.
As Link prepares to fight the group, Zelda stops him realizing that they are too stupid to manage an attack on their own. The Moblin in charge orders a group of Gibdos and Zolas to charge at the castle gate with a log, but they start too far away. A Goriya orders a group of Vire to lift Octorocks to attack, but the Moblin's Stalfos archers hit them. Meanwhile, two Goriya start fighting with each other as a group of Armos climb up a ladder only to have it break under their weight. Finally, the Moblin tries to get a group of Lynels to fire catapults at the castle, but they fire to early releasing him with the round. After Link mentions how stupid this attack that Ganon ordered is, the Moblin tells them this is their plan, not Ganon's. After Link and Zelda realize Ganon is gone, they decide to get the Triforce of Power, as Link zaps the Moblin, taking his bomb and they go.
Meanwhile, Ganon has almost reached the top, as Link and Zelda enter the Underworld, their only threat is a Dodongo still loyal to Ganon. Link tries to zap it, but it doesn't work, but Zelda throws the bomb into its mouth, destroying it. Link asks Zelda to kiss him, but Zelda tells him they should just get the Triforce. Link realizes he'll be out of a job if they do, and just as their about to grab it Ganon floats out of the pit. Ganon tries to zap them, forgetting about the bubble. Link decides this is the time to have some fun, but he accidentally tosses Ganon onto the Triforce of Power! After Ganon scares them off, he sends a strange wind to bring his Minions back.
As the the Minions have essentially destroyed all of their forces, before they can form up to try again Ganon's Magic brings them back. He then orders that they clean up his throne room with their tongues.
Back at the castle, Zelda is very angry at Link because they almost had the Triforce but lost it. Link agrees it was his fault and decides to make a joke out of it by saying "Excuse me, Princess!" which causes Zelda to place a bucket on his head and stomp off. Secretly, Link is actually glad they didn't get the Triforce because he still has a job.
