Genus

The Geodermatophilaceae are an actinomycete family within the highly polyphyletic suborder Frankineae.

Phylogeny

The currently accepted phylogeny is based on 16S rRNA-based LTP release 123 by 'The All-Species Living Tree' Project [3]

Taxonomy

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN) [4] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)[5]

♠ Strains found at the NCBI, but not listed in the LSPN
