Hello, I'm HistoryofIran. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Ghurid dynasty seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Battle of Ghor 766 AD
Battle of Ghor 766 AD
The Battle of Ghor in 766 AD was a significant confrontation between the indigenous Pashtun ruler, Amir Kror Suri, and the Abbasid Caliphate. The battle took place in the Ghor region of present-day Afghanistan.
Amir Kror Suri, a powerful Pashtun leader, had established his rule in the region and was known for his resistance against external invaders. In 766 AD, the Abbasid Arabs, who were expanding their empire and seeking to bring the region under their control, launched an invasion of Ghor.
Despite being outnumbered, Amir Kror Suri employed guerrilla warfare tactics and utilized the rugged terrain of Ghor to his advantage. His forces successfully ambushed and defeated the Abbasid army, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.
The Battle of Ghor in 766 AD is considered a significant event in Pashtun history as it showcased the military prowess and strategic acumen of Amir Kror Suri. The victory solidified his status as a formidable leader in the region and highlighted the resilience of the Pashtun people against foreign invasions. Aimal12345 (talk) 08:24, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
