A railway line from Malkapur to Buldhana and Aurangabad has been proposed by Buldhana MLA Sanjay Gaikwad. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is ready, and a survey is scheduled for January 2024. Once completed, this railway line will make Buldhana an important station connecting Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra.
Railway connection has always been difficult because of the surrounding mountainous area.
