Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters.

PSI’s focus is promoting, supporting and recognizing quality in pet sitting. The Association helps bring success to its members by providing revolutionary products and services.


Caring for pets in their own home is what separates pet sitters from [[Dog boarding|boarders]] and [[dog daycare]]. [[Dog walking]] is considered to be a form of pet sitting as well since it involves visiting the pet's home to provide [[exercise]] and [[companionship]].
PSI provides members with access to affordable bonding and liability insurance and educational resources such as PSI’s Accreditation Program, The Pet Sitter’s WORLD magazine and PSI’s annual Quest convention.

Pet Sitters International (PSI) is an educational association for professional pet sitters located in King, North Carolina.[2] The professional pet-sitting association represents nearly 7,000 independent professionals. PSI was established in 1994 by Patti Moran, author of Pet Sitting for Profit.

In 2016, PSI received the Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina.[3]
