Merger proposal
[edit]The articles Babu Chhiri and Babu Chiri Sherpa are clearly about the same person. ColdCase (talk) 22:02, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Merge but into the main article on Mount Everest instead. Neither article meets standards for notability and are clear WP:BIO1E deletion candidates. Age Happens (talk) 08:24, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Merge. Chiri with one H appears to be the more common spelling. I don't agree that the article lacks notability; while the subject is best known for his connections with Everest, that alone does not negate notability, any more than, say, the article on Lance Armstrong should be eliminated and the content merged with Tour de France. Or even bicycle. (Okay, that's a lousy example, but I hope I get my point across anyway.) --Shadow (talk) 23:34, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
