It seems like a name of one of the three worlds of Triglav, Nav, which is, indeed, the world of the dead. The Slavic mythology says that Svarog separated Yav, the materail or living world, from Nav, the world of the dead, when he fought Zmey (the big snake).
So can it be just a general name for a spirit of a perished/dead person, rather than the specific name for the particular spirit?
Another question. If Nav appears in Yav, does it mean that Prav has gotten corrupt in some way? How to restore Prav then?

NAV is saskrit's PRA-NAVA; means "PRA NAVA" or "PRA NAVI" in Slavic too... and means "pre- before (death), darkness...

NAV remained written because it became part of Christian and Judaism ideologies ; and Jav ("Yav") and Prav became "forbidden". Because christianity, judaism does not believe in a cycle of a soul; allowed is only Hell ("heaven") or Nav, eternal prison among god.

Nav is the "unseen" (Astral world, ghostly, primordial world). This includes the part of the Svarga (universe) or our own Milky way; darkness. Jav is "material" (which is seen to our own eyes) and Prav is Jav and Nav together; includes "dark matter" and "dark energy". Hell is outside our Svarga; and our Earth (in Slovenian mythology is Earth a "little rounded stone in a Sea, where everything stays still" ; source: Myth of the Creation of the Universe by god Svetovid) is between Jav and Nav, but still in Prav in Svarga(loka). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.182.94.44 (talk) 19:37, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 17 July 2017

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Move. For better or worse, the article content is indeed now about Mavka rather than Nav, so a move is necessary to reflect that. Nav' will redirect to Nav (Slavic folklore) and I'll look at the page histories to see if anything needs to be merged. Cúchullain t/c 13:51, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nav'Mavka – See above; misplaced article. And redirect Nav' to Nav (Slavic folklore) . Staszek Lem (talk) 18:02, 17 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Music1201 talk 16:10, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
