Name Change

[edit]

I propose renaming this article "Barlaam of Calabria," That is the name by which he is most often referred in both historical and scholarly sources. It is also the form which most frequently turns up in an online search. I would be interested in any feedback about this. MishaPan 18:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you produce some ghit analysis on this? Also a formal survey should perhaps be done. Thanks - I will go with whatever is most commonly used. Johnbod 20:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Barlaam of Calabria" produces 10,500 hits on Google.com; "Barlaam of Seminara" produces 575. MishaPan 20:21, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I too, a historian, support name change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike Stoyik (talkcontribs) 16:47, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
