Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club was founded in 1922 following the amalgamation of two Cork clubs – Nemo and Rangers. Within six years the new club made their mark winning the county Intermediate Hurling and Football Championships in 1928, a feat that has never been equalled. Since then Nemo has become most notable as a football club. They are the most successful club in the history of the [[All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship]], having won the competition a record seven times since its inception in 1971. It has close links with nearby boy's secondary school, [[Coláiste Chríost Rí]].
