As of the [[census]]{{GR|2}} of 2000, there were 3,108 people, 1,199 households, and 888 families residing in the CDP. The [[population density]] was 304.9 people per square mile (117.8/km²). There were 1,253 housing units at an average density of 122.9/sq mi (47.5/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 89.61% [[Race (United States Census)|White]], 0.55% [[Race (United States Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 2.61% [[Race (United States Census)|Native American]], 1.61% [[Race (United States Census)|Asian]], 0.29% [[Race (United States Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.09% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 4.25% from two or more races. 4.60% of the population were [[Race (United States Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Race (United States Census)|Latino]] of any race. |

Pine Hill (formerly, Tigerville, Pine's Hill, and East Sunnyside)[2] is an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, California.[1] It is located 2.5 miles (4 km) south of downtown Eureka,[2] at an elevation of 135 feet (41 m).[1] The area is now part of unincorporated Eureka.
