Note many sport kite designs over the past 40 years leverage wing warping for kite control. The Wright Bros initial kite designs are an example, and the prior art in European kites were part of the reason the 1899 patent application (shown at the top of this page) was denied as kites already used it. undo

Although warping like this can be used on aircraft, they were initially designed and tested on kites, and remain a primary control method for many kite designs. The patent image used to demonstrate it to the left is clearly a kite, the patent application describes wing warping of a kite, etc. undo
