This is not a shred of evidence that Nemirovsky was "self-hating." Franklin's review attacked Nemirovsky for writing to Marshall Petain so that she could maintain a livelihood , as an author, to provide for her two children. To Franklin, that clearly was an inexcusable offense, as Nemirovsky struggled to survive under Nazi tyranny. undo Tag: section blanking
