Although the government did pass a resolution to change it, the name has not been officially changed. Additionally, the term "Keralam" is used in Malayalam, following the language's grammatical rules for adding an anusvara. Similar to how "Mahabharata" becomes "Mahabharatam" and "Karnataka" becomes "Karnatakam" in Malayalam, "Kerala" is "Keralam." Furthermore, preserving "Kerala" in English would enhance the language's beauty due to its vowel ending. undo Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit

Changed "Malayalam" to "Dravidian" as Logan described the word "mala" as a Dravidian term, not specifically Malayalam. Added citation to Logan's book for verification. undo Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
