While turbosuperchargers are a different matter, at least some aircraft with mechanical superchargers, like the DC-3, definitely have carb heat. The supercharger on such aircraft compresses the fuel-air charge *downstream* of the carburetor, after the air has already been carbureted, so the warming of that charge by its compression has no effect on the carburetor temperature and cannot stop carburetor icing. undo
