Saying the namesake of a street was 'part of a family that held slaves' is not historically notable. Citing that Baby opposed Simcoe's motion to abolish slavery is inaccurate and poorly researched. Like many characters from this time period, Baby supported the gradual phasing out of slavery although his motivations for this were unclear. in fact, his own slave, Therese, was emancipated in 1803 and she lived out her days in Baby's home. undo Tag: Reverted
