Localization of "Talking to users"

[edit]

Regarding User:Cabayi#Talking to users. I recommend using the parser function {{int:}} to make sure that these checkboxes stay up to date with their wording and to make them localizable when a translation is available:

  • {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}
Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary)
  • {{myprefs|9|check={{int:gadget-ProveIt}}}}
  • WP:ReFill
Preferences → Gadgets → Tick (S) ProveIt is a tool that adds a graphical user interface to find, edit, add and cite references (demo)
  • {{myprefs|9|check={{int:gadget-Twinkle}}}}
Preferences → Gadgets → Tick Twinkle: add menu buttons to automate common tasks, including: reporting vandalism, warning vandals, requesting deletion or protection, welcoming users, and tagging articles (preferences)

The parser function uses pages in the MediaWiki namespace, such us MediaWiki:tog-forceeditsummary and MediaWiki:gadget-Twinkle.

This is a follow-up to recent improvements to the {{Myprefs}} template. To check localization:

Hi Cabayi,

As the admin who blocked User:Essentialnaturaloils for spam advertising, are you able to revoke their TPA as well? They're using it to plug their products again. Aydoh8 (talk | contribs) 13:05, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page watcher) @Aydoh8: I got 'em. - UtherSRG (talk) 13:25, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

May I ask you, please, what do you think about Motion 3 here? It seems neither failing nor passing. What would you recommend me to do? Thank you. My very best wishes (talk) 16:04, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It passed. Cabayi (talk) 17:21, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I see that one of the arbitrators has changed their vote after I posted this question. Great! Thank you very much! My very best wishes (talk) 20:42, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Manshacgc, why what? Cabayi (talk) 08:52, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My page is always blocked. Can you tell me why this is happening? Manshacgc (talk) 09:05, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you creating the user page for another user? Cabayi (talk) 09:53, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Jane Eaton Hamilton, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL and missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 10:11, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
