Found out tis just a rare synonym of block and tackle, readin descriptions of both words. el:πολύσπαστο even has the same pic as w:B&T. The machines consist of the same parts and work the same, except that “block” implies a pulley with a casing (ein Gehäuse, in dem sich Scheiben syn. Rollen befinden, i.e. pulleys). Not enow distinct at least for having separate translations in most langs, also shewn by block and tackle trans bein already mostly da same. |
