English: The Soviet AVS-36 battle rifle, from the collections of the Swedish Army Museum. The rifle in the photo was taken from a dead Soviet Army soldier, by Stig Facht, during the Finnish Winter War in 1940. Facht was a lieutenant in the Swedish Volunteer Corps, and took the rifle with him back to Sweden after the Winter War had ended. The rifle is stamped with serial number BB 110 and stamped with it's year of production 1939. It was gifted to the Swedish Army Museum by Facht's son in 2018.
