Pius XII?

Moved this here because there is no indication in the sources given that Klausener and Pacelli had any contact. "Klausener's relationship with the future Pope Pius XII has sometimes been controversial." -What relationship? "While authors like Guenter Lewy have expressed criticism of Pius for not intervening more forcefully in the case," ...what case? Klausener hadn't been arrested, he was summarily murdered. "...other authors including Joseph Bottum and David G. Dalin have presented a more positive assessment of the attitude of Pius XII during that time. The Catholic Church and Nazi Germany, by Guenter LewyThe Pius war: responses to the critics of Pius XII, by J. Bottum, David G. Dalin The "other authors" indicate Pius was supportive of the grieving family; but not that he and Klausener had necessarily worked together before.
