To See or Not to See (French: Psychocratie) is a Canadian animated short film, directed by Břetislav Pojar for the National Film Board in 1969.[1] An exploration of fear, the film centres on a scientist who develops a pair of glasses that allows the wearer to see reality instead of subjective perception, thus making fear less onerous and easier to overcome.[2]
The film won the Canadian Film Award for Film of the Year in 1970.[3] It also received the Short Film Golden Bear at the 19th Berlin International Film Festival.[4]
