The station's primary competitors are two well established AM stations (KPRC, KTRH), and newer talk radio outlet KNTH. KSEV occasionally scores a ratings victory in select hours and select demographics.[citation needed]
KSEV carries national syndicated programming of Laura Ingraham. Its local hosts include Sam Malone, Chris Baker and Dan Patrick, a member of the Texas Senate (Texas Senate, District 7), and Shannon Register.
Patrick owns KSEV through his company, Patrick Broadcasting LP. He previously operated the station through a local marketing agreement with previous owner Liberman Broadcasting.
